Description
Located on the beach road 1 and 1/2 kms from downtown Puerto Viejo. A lush 5 acre natural tropical garden on the edge of the jungle.
In front of the gorgeous expanse of the white sand Cocles beach- "Beachbreak wave" for surfers on the north end, and the cool, sweet water of the Rio Cocles to the south. Cocles Beach is the winner of the highly coveted Costa Rican government Blue Flag for pristine beach and is the only lifeguard-protected beach on the Caribbean Coast.
Afro Caribbean, indigenous and Costa Rican cultures blend here to temper and challenge the visitor. In the south Caribbean the earth’s four races and 44 nationalities are represented according to the 2000 national census.
