Description
Hotel Bula Bula is located in Playa Grande, on the Pacific Northwest of Costa Rica. The 5 kilometer white sand beach boasts one of the most consistent surf breaks in Costa Rica and is known for incredible barrels. The nearly private beach is also a terrific place to unwind and collect seashells. Tamarindo, a town featured in the surfing movie Endless Summer II is just across the estuary. We are on the Tamarindo estuary (where the Pacific ocean extends inland to meet the mouth of the Rio Matapalo) and about a 5 minute walk to the beach.
Bula Bula, Costa Rica has an excellent location
for most of the entertainment and relaxation
that you look for during a trip. The beach where
it stands is one of the largest in the area and
provides many different activities such as
surfing, sailing, kayaks and fishing. Its
closeness to Tamarindo is a great plus because
it allows you the opportunity of a short drive to
go shopping, dining, or sight seeing in town,
while at the same time having the option to
return to a more peaceful setting once you are
back in your room at the hotel. Keep in mind
that Tamarindo has an assortment of night
spots for those who like to have a drink and
show off those dance moves. Playa Grande, where Hotel Bula Bula is located, is also
near two of the best surf spots in the country, Ollie ’s Point and Witch Rock, in either
of which you might see world class surfers riding the Costa Rican waves. You can also
go hiking, sailing, diving, fishing or visit several national parks that are in the area.
